Look down over Quebec's highest cascade from atop a suspension bridge at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. Plunging from a height of 83 m (272 ft), the falls stand 30 m (98 ft) taller than the more famous Niagara Falls. During the colder months, the falls feature a cone of ice known as the Sugar Loaf at their base. Ride a zipline or walk along a clifftop trail in the surrounding park; feel free to bring food with you for a picnic. A great spot to take a walk and enjoy the views, from a scenic waterfall with suspension bridges above to a view of the St. Laurent. There are nice boardwalks and lookout points. Cost: There is a fee for access per person ($8.50) and a fee for parking. If you would like to take the cable car there is an additional cost - this is strongly recommended if you want to see the full site but you would prefer not to walk down and/or up the 487 stairs. Some additional activities are available for an additional cost including zip lining and a guided ropes course. Note that the wait for the zip line can get long (1 hr+) especially on busy days. Access: A public bus comes from Quebec City regularly. If you are driving you can save money on parking by street parking in the town and walking over.

If you go to Montmorency waterfall you can also take a tram up and down to see another angle of huge and beautiful waterfall. The day my friends and I went, it wasn't crowded at all. We took round trip because we parked the car on the top of mountain. At the ground level, station has cafeteria, restroom, souvenir store and zip lines if you want more adventure!
