The iconic Peggy's Cove Lighthouse beckons travelers by land and sea with its traditional white-and-red facade, as it marks the rugged eastern entrance to the bay. Step along the water-worn, rounded granite rocks that the beacon is built on, and watch the powerful Atlantic break heavily against them. The lighthouse represents a major stop on the region's Lighthouse Trail scenic drive. Be sure to take extra care exploring this area, as visitor can be swept off the rocks by larger waves. Don't forget your camera and capture this lighthouse, renowned for its composition. • Scenic location, but can be crowded during the tourist season. Still worth a view if the crowds aren't too great. See the waves crashing onto the rocky shore. You only have to walk a short distance...

  • Drove down from Halifax to Peggy's Cove. Enjoyed climbing the rocks and taking lots of pictures -- so beautiful and picturesque. So famous that we expected a mob scene, but wasn't really that...

  • A National heritage site. The new viewing deck have made the place more accessible to wheelchair and senior citizens. Peggy's Cove always have the same Glamour and excitement across the year and any season. The washrooms are clean and well maintained. Parking has never been a problem. Sometimes it gets windy making it more chilling. Always a picturesque spot. The light house is always closed and climbing to the top is not accessible.
  • Peggy’s cove was a nice place to visit. First time everyone was really traveling this summer so it was extra busy. We were still able to easily find parking and space on the rocks to ourselves. Much more beautiful in person then I thought it would be. Definitely recommend checking it out.
