  • A short walk on a forested trail leads you to Blue Beach which is covered in shale-type rocks perfect for skimming. You may also find fossils although our group did not see any while we were there.

  • Love this place! The silence truly will touch your heart if you let it. It is not your typical "sand castle and a swim" beach. It is a place to walk mindfully and commune with the history of our Earth. Rocks, cliffs are amazing! Beach is all rocks and shale, so good walking shoes are needed. Not a sandals or barefoot kinda place. As well, the pathway in and out is of medium difficulty. Quite the effort to reach the beach itself but SO SO worth the effort!! One of the warmest beaches around. Water is silty. No amenities really. Outhouse is rough but adequate. Bring your own paper. Have never swam here. Well worth time and effort.
  • This might have been the most magical place I visited in Nova Scotia. I even saw a shooting star here. In the middle of the day! The geology is stunning, the scenery is breath taking, and everyone on the beach was so happy to be there. A must see. Please consider donating to the museum project while you are there
