We visited this museum and found it to be excellent. The display on the Royal Canadian Navy was fantastic. Very informative. Also the display on the Halifax Explosion was first class.

Tim, one of the volunteer staff is INCREDIBLE. The absolute definition of a valuable customer service professional. He took the time to give me a tour of basically the whole museum and was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. I feel like I learned so much from spending an hour with him and would absolutely go back just to experience the marvel of this museum with his incredible enthusiasm. I initially came here for the Titanic exhibit and wouldn’t say that I’m particularly interested in naval history but Tim really changed my perspective after this visit. The whole staff is friendly and inviting and this is a 10/10 must see on a trip to Halifax!

Really great museum. The employees are full of knowledge for all your questions, especially Titanic and the harbour explosion. They have a blue macaw named Merlin and he is a ginormous sweetheart. He likes to nap in the afternoon, but he will chat with you if you approach him right. Sorry to spend so much time on the parrot, he was such a darling so no ragerts.
