The warm and calm waters are ideal for swimming and the abundance of trees create a nice respite from the sun. A river running through it forms a unique combination and the natural pools of water provide an alternative to swimming in the sea. Nearby, you can visit the ruins of Lazaretto, which functioned as a prison and a quarantine for sick people during colonial Brazil. An amazing place to meet nice travelers and good restaurants and live music. You can stay the whole night at the village and there will be lots of interesting thinks to do.

The most preserved beach in Abraão Cove. With black sand and a fresh water river where nature mix with history.

Pretty nice place. Super close from the main town, so it's a good option if you're looking for a decent beach but not willing to go far away. There's a small lagoon there which is awesome for kids, there were plenty of them there when I visited the place.
