Create an itinerary including Tyrolean Folk Art Museum
Housed within an old monastery building, Tyrolean Folk Art Museum serves as an extensive repository of a wealth of regional crafts, costumes, cultural artifacts, and more. Pay a visit to the museum, one of the most popular and well regarded of its kind on the continent, and explore its collection of items documenting life in the region of Tyrol. Wander the exhibits and displays covering centuries of local history and development; the museum focuses particularly on everyday items and traditional crafts. Take special note of the mixture of Germanic and Italian influences present in the museum's artwork and holdings, a feature stemming from the region's historical borders. Don't miss seeing the museum's rooms taken from Tyrolean farms and houses of the Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque eras, which have been carefully restored with decorations and wood paneling. • Wonderful museum. Kids up to 19 years old can enter for free. It includes a wonderful church, a very interesting interactive historical introduction that kids and adults will certainly enjoy and the museum. Totally recommend
  • I didn’t get to the museum but I wish I could have. I did see a pretty cool and engaging summary of Emperor Maximilians life and death. Check it out on the way to his tomb!
