The natural beauty of the K1 vineyard, together with the ‘terrior’ and dynamic viticulture by one of Australia’s leading viticulturalists, results in ultra-premium, single estate wines coupled with an amazing place to visit – located in the Adelaide Hills, just 45 minutes south of Adelaide.

With six generations of vinous heritage and the Hardy name synonymous with two centuries of Australian viticulture, we began planting our 30 hectares of vines in 1987 with the aim of growing the highest quality grapes for producing ultra-premium wines.

As Geoff often says, ‘Passion always shows’. Australia’s leading wine writer, James Halliday agrees, rating K1 as a five star winery and describing the K1 Vineyard as “ultra-cool”.

We take as much pride in the aesthetics of the K1 landscape as we do in what’s in every bottle of our wine. As such, our cellar door is recognised as one of the most picturesque in Australia and the changing seasons offer a different and unique perspective on the vineyard at each visit. Our function centre and cellar door, situated on the bank of the front lake, acts as a stunning backdrop for weddings, birthdays and corporate functions.

Today, our family owned and operated business produces 9,000 cases of wine and exports to Canada, China and Taiwan.
