National Motor Museum
Explore Australia’s largest collection of vintage and classic cars and motorcycles at National Motor Museum. Over 300 vehicles are on display, including the 1908 Talbot that was the first car to cross Australia. As you make your way through the three pavilions here, you'll also see a restored gas station from the 1920s and a large collection of model cars. The museum hosts motoring events such as the Bay to Birdwood Finish Event. Motor clubs from across the country also put on exhibitions throughout the year, so check what's on before your visit. Terrific collection of cars and other vehicles, with good information panels. There's something of a bias towards Holdens, but this is SA! Good bakeries across the road when you've seen everything.

Beautifully restored and maintained vehicles and buildings. The young lass on the desk was friendly and helpful. This time we found The Mill, which is shown on a map but needs actual signage to find it...well worth the visit to learn the history of it. Lovely lawned areas and trees. Definitely recommend a trip through the beautiful hold to spend at least a couple of hours there. Lovely town as well.

A great place to whittle away a few hours. From kids activities, to video games and presentations, over-head displays, and rows of cars and bikes from over a century ago all the way to recent local production cars, this place has a lot to keep you entertained for hours on a self guided tour of the place.
