Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / South Australia / Greater Adelaide / Adelaide / Rundle Mall
Situated in the heart of the city and considered South Australia's premier retail center, Rundle Mall is a pedestrian-only shopping strip featuring over 800 stores. The mall is home to many large Australian retailers and a number of smaller independent and chain stores. Several arcades and plazas, containing smaller boutiques and eateries, can also be accessed from this popular strip. Spend time shopping here or drop in to see some notable items of modern sculpture, such as a 4-m (13-ft) piece commonly referred to as "The Mall's Balls," created by the prominent visual artist Bert Flugelman. Rundle Mall reviews
The place for shopping in Adelaide. Plenty of choice. Eating outlets all available and plenty of people to watch. Nice arcades. Also a nice walk early morning!

Friday late night shopping. East end of Rundle Mall a must go. Restaurants are overflowed and council organised fire pits and fire work acts. Better than Melbourne or Sydney.

Large range of local and chain shops with interesting historic arcades running off it. Features include the historic fountain, the popular "Malls Balls" sculpture used as a meeting point, the pigs sculpture, the pigeon sculpture. Quiet after hours as Richmond Hotel is about the only venue open.
Great range of shops, clean, plenty of space for pedestrian traffic so you're not crashing into people. Watch out for rogue pigeons though! Awesome buskers when we visited.
