Create an itinerary including Botanic Park
At Botanic Park, step into an oasis at the heart of the city. Wander through century-old Moreton Bay Figs or picnic under Plane Trees planted in 19th century. This 16-hectare (40-acre) historical garden includes a collection of Australian native and exotic plants. Highlights include a restored Victorian Palm House, the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion, and the Art Deco Bicentennial Conservatory. The park has had its own Speakers’ Corner for public debate since the 1890s. Share the space with native birdlife and couples taking their wedding photos on lush green lawns. A visit to Botanic Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Adelaide holiday planner to plot your vacation.

  • Beautiful gardens. I especially loved the rose garden and sunflower garden. Beautiful dams with turtles and ducks. Many great places to picnic or relax. Cafes where you can grab coffee or a glass of wine. I've heard the restaurant here is great too. A beautiful park close to city. Good for the soul.
  • Adelaide's Botanical Gardens and Botanic Park are something worthy to brag about. We celebrated Christmas gatherings here many years ago, and returned for the first time in too long for 2021. The grounds are well kept, with plenty of space for all, including finding a patch to kick a football around. A highly recommended place to visit to just relax and enjoy your surroundings. Easy access with parking free on Sundays.
