Walk from the Adelaide city center to discover the urban oasis that is the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Once here, visit the Palm House, a Victorian glasshouse containing Malagasy arid plant life. Enter the fragrant National Rose Trial Garden to see the different rose varieties that can grow in the local climate. Stand in the curvilinear-glass Bicentennial Conservatory and observe a delicate ecosystem including noisy pittas birds, spiders, and centipedes. • I love visiting botanic gardens. Australia offers many options. This one in Adelaide might not be as impressive as the others in main Australian towns, but still worthy.

  • Very pleasant. Close to the city centre, just a short walk away. Nicely set out and well mapped. Lovely open space for a walk and plenty of bird life if you like photography.

  • Haven't visited there for many years. Went with daughter and young grandchildren, and had a wonderful day. Will return asap to spend more time. Coffee, cake and ice cream s were good too☺️ Thank you for a beautiful place.
  • Love going to the Botanic gardens, really nice place to go and walk to the various sections of the gardens at your own pace. There is also a plant shop and 2 cafes where you can sit and relax. A great place to take children as there are several large grass areas where they can play and still be supervised. We recently took both of our grand daughters and they thoroughly enjoyed exploring the rose garden and smelling the flowers as well as wondering around the walking paths. It inspired them to pick leaves and flowers from our garden and the local park so that they could use them in some artwork. They want to go again and explore another area of the titanic park.
