Take a journey through the natural history of Patagonia at Museo Paleontologico Egidio Feruglio. The museum exhibits range from fossils to multimedia displays and trace the steps back from the earliest human settlements in the region to the beginning of the universe. Patagonia was, of course, home to some of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered, and their gargantuan skeletons are among the highlights of the museum’s collection. In addition to the exhibit halls, the museum features a souvenir shop and a cafe. Information about exhibits is available in both English and Spanish. • The museum is beautifully organised as a journey back through time and the dinosaur or megafauna remains are presented in that context. There were good, readable explanations in English. I enjoyed...

  • A distance away from Puerto Madryn in the not so quaint/picturesque town of Trelew. The small museum is interesting, especially if you are into dinosaurs! The dinosaur skeleton replics are excellent!

  • I don't understand how this fabulous museum can be found in this remote part of Patagonia (Trelew isn't even the provincial capital): a very interesting place where you can see archaeologists working with fossil remains: admission costs a few dollars!
  • In the remote shores of Northern Patagonia this small but well designed museum will delight both children and adults interested in our natural world and the fascinating biological history
