  • As soon as you turn the curve and see the glacier from afar, the excitement rises and it is only the beginning. The Magellan Peninsula goes up to a few meters and this is what differentiates it from other glaciers. The park consists of walkways and large terraces to see it far and wide from a raised position, which does not allow you to perceive its real height and in fact for this reason a short navigation in the lake is also recommended to get from below (in any case to a distance of 300 meters). It is wonderful to be able to admire the difference in color of the lake and the fracture area, or where the glacier joins the land in front, at certain times of the year, and then breaks. And it's not just a visual experience because creaking and falling pieces can often be heard in the water. It almost goes without saying that it is an unmissable stop in Argentina.
  • Transport from El Calafate (return): 5000 - booked at bus station. Cost of entry for foreign national: 4000 - pay at the door. Amazing place to visit - do not miss if you're in the area! Even if it's a cloudy day, you still get a great view since the observation decks are so close to the glacier.
