  • We enjoyed a lot the experience!!! Visit Himare coast by boat is a must do, it was a such a great experience, that we did two days. We went to the beaches and caves in the North and South of Himare.

  • Niko gave us an amazing tour. The caves were unforgettable. Wear your swimsuit and plan on swimming if you want to see some amazing sea caves.
  • A couple from New Zealand recommended Seas the Day so we booked a 5 ½ hour group tour up the coast to Grama Bay. There were twelve people (including us) on the boat and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. Six people can sit comfortably under the boat’s canopy, while six others sat in front with no shade. If you’re sun sensitive try sit under the canopy, or bring plenty of sun screen. A hat that will stay on during a brisk breeze is also highly recommended if your scalp is exposed and prone to sunburn. Nico - the boat captain - was clearly experienced and highly skilled. He speaks good English and is a wealth of information if you take the time to ask. Nico also knows where all the most interesting caves, coves and beaches are and happily encourages people to swim in any of the watery caves we explored. Do swim when you get a chance, especially at what Nico calls Bubullima (the Thunder Cave). It’s an extraordinary auditory experience. We struggled to describe it, but in the end we landed on “it’s like listening to the earth breathe”. On this tour you’ll get to spend a couple hours relaxing at Grama Bay. This beautiful cove was once a source of hand hewn marble, and was a safe spot for ships sheltering from storms. Ask Nico to show you the amazing carvings in the marble cliffs. Left here by sailors through the centuries some of the carvings are over 2,000 years old! This was a chance to eat lunch while you spread out on the beach. (Note: you bring your own food and drink on the tour - though there is beer available for purchase). There are cliffs to the south so you have a large area of shade to relax in (everyone on our tour sheltered in the shade). Swimming in this sheltered cove is fantastic. The water is clear as glass and there are some reefs very near the beach. We were able to see quite a few different types of fish, as well as some interesting clusters of shellfish and small coral clusters. The group rate was 5,400L per person, a real bargain for the quality of the experience. Highly recommended.
