Walk along the historic site of the Battle of Carabobo, which sealed the independence of Venezuela, with a visit to Campo Carabobo. The site's historical significance has been immortalized as a historic walk in the neobarocco style, flanked by military monuments, columns, arches, altars, gardens, and many trees. Here you'll find the tomb of the Unknown Soldier guarded by two soldiers in period dress. Every two hours the changing of the guards takes place, which usually draws a crowd. Local vendors sell freshly picked mango plucked from the many mango trees on site.
