Medanos de Coro, Coro

#1 of 9 in Things to do in Coro
Must see · Outdoor Activity
One of South America's more idiosyncratic national parks, the sandy dunes of Medanos de Coro seem a world away from the bustle of the city center. The plant life here consists of little more than small thorny shrubs dotted around the landscape. What you do have at this coastal desert habitat are rolling sand hills reminiscent of a Middle Eastern desert--a result of the little to no rainfall this area receives. Keep an eye out for lizards, foxes, and rabbits scurrying around in their natural habitat. Put Medanos de Coro and other Coro attractions into our Coro visit website, and watch your holiday take shape.
