  • Very moving. Garden of remembrance is a reminder (if needed), of the sacrifices made, often by some very young men. The view from the monument is stunning, a fitting place to remember them. Had great banter with some ex Royal Marines who were there. As soon as I told them I was ex Royal Navy, the joke floodgates opened. A must to visit, will be back next year God willing in warmer weather.
  • Such a magnificent memorial to some truly amazing men. The location is simply perfect, and on a typical Scottish day it reminds you how harsh their training was. I had the honour of meeting one of their instructors many years ago and always make the effort to stop and pay respects when passing. Well worth the visit, and of you have the time, take a look at the High Bridge walk nearby.
