Widely known as “The Queen of Highland Churches,” Saint Andrew's Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Admire the interior of the church and learn about its cherished history; this was the first Episcopal church in Fort William, and was rebuilt during the late 1870s. Notice the beautiful mosaic floor, designed by Italian artist Salviati of Milan, depiciting the crucifixion.   • Sadly, the church was closed when we tried to visit early August 2021 - presumably due to Covid-19 and social distancing requirements, although there were also some barrier railings in one corner...  more »
