One of Ukraine's most extensive exhibitions, National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War memorializes the Soviet Union's battle against Nazi Germany during World War II and displays a host of military artifacts. Visit the museum and explore its more than 300,000 exhibits dispersed throughout cavernous halls. You'll see weapons, documents, personal effects, and a wealth of other items from World War II. The museum's most famous symbol outside is hard to miss: a 62 m (203 ft) titanium "Motherland" statue depicting a woman with a sword and shield.
