Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Michael's Church, explore the activities along English Garden, and then examine the collection at Munich Residenz. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate the long history of Nymphenburg Palace, then admire the masterpieces at Alte Pinakothek, and then make a trip to Marienplatz.
