Lilongwe

The capital city of Malawi and its largest, Lilongwe serves as an important center of economy and transportation for the area.
On the 23rd (Sat), tour the pleasant surroundings at Nature Sanctuary, tour the pleasant surroundings at Lilongwe Wildlife Centre, then pause for some photo ops at World War I Memorial, and finally make a trip to Kumbali Cultural Village. On your second day here, don't miss a visit to Tindoz d'Afrique and then get a sense of history and politics at Parliament Building.

Karonga to Lilongwe is an approximately 8-hour car ride. You can also take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) early enough to drive to Salima.
