Once the most important harbor in the Mediterranean Sea, Genoa has a long history as a rich and powerful trade center in northern Italy.
Family-friendly places like Aquarium of Genoa and Baia del Silenzio will thrill your kids. Venture out of the city with trips to Sestri Levante (Silentbay Charter & Sun Beach) and Basilica di Santo Stefano (in Lavagna). Made up of five picturesque towns on the Ligurian coast, Cinque Terre is Italy's answer to the French Riviera.
On the 19th (Wed), make a trip to Scalinata Lardarina, then hike along Cinque Terre Trails, then discover the deep blue sea with Enjoy Cinqueterre Boat Tours, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Borgo Storico di Riomaggiore.
