The sleepy market town of Kabale in Western Uganda, although meagre in sights of its own, boasts close proximity to several national parks, just a couple of miles from the border with Rwanda.
Venture out of the city with trips to Bugona Tree (in Rubaare) and Kisiizi Falls (in Rukungiri). The adventure continues: get outside with Lake Bunyonyi, take in the architecture and atmosphere at All Saints Church, and get engrossed in the history at Kwanzi Guest House & Museum - by Grace Villa.

Mbale is the type of town which many may pass on their way to the other parts of Uganda, but its low-rise buildings and bustling streets provide a glimpse into local daily life.
When in Mbale, make a side trip to see Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa, approximately Kapchorwa away. Spend the 4th (Sun) exploring the gorgeous surroundings at Explore Sipi Falls. It doesn't end there: take in the dramatic scenery at Sisiyi Falls.
