Lunenburg

— 4 nights
An hour's drive from Halifax's international airport, Luneburg boasts both colorful buildings and a colorful history, as well as status as a World Heritage Site.
Get out of town with these interesting Lunenburg side-trips: Graves Island Provincial Park (in Chester) and Shelburne (Ross-Thomson House Museum, Shelburne's Museums By The Sea, &more). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, step aboard Bluenose II, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. John's Anglican Church, and relax in the rural setting at Terra Beata Cranberries.
