Mir is a town in Kareličy raion, Hrodna Voblast, Belarus on the banks of Miranka River, about 85 kilometers southwest of the national capital, Minsk.Prior to 1939 the town was in Poland.HistoryMir village was founded sometime prior to 1345. Kick off your visit on the 17th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Zaslavskiy Chapel, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Chapel and Burial Vault Svyatopolk-Mirskikh, explore the historical opulence of Mir Castle, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Obelisk to Jews of Mir Who Were Exterminated by the German Nazis, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Holy Trinity Church.
