Muscat

The capital and largest city of Oman, the coastal city of Muscat boasts numerous historical sites and pristine modern developments.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve and Snake Canyon. Spend the 3rd (Thu) spotting exotic species with a safari tour. There's lots more to do: take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, walk around Al-Riyam Park, make a trip to Corniche, and browse the eclectic array of goods at Mutrah Souq.

Stockholm, Sweden to Muscat is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time to Gulf Standard Time, which is usually a 3 hour difference. Traveling from Stockholm in June, expect Muscat to be much warmer, temps between 45°C and 36°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Wed) to allow time to fly to Khasab.

A lively provincial capital, Khasab has been termed the "Norway of Arabia," because of its dramatic coastline, where dramatic inlets resemble the fjords of Scandinavia.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Khawr Najd and Festung Cacapo. Step out of Khasab with an excursion to Bukha Fort in Bukha--about 36 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: enjoy the sand and surf at Bassa Public Beach, make a trip to Khasab Fort, and see Musandam Sea Adventure Travel and Tourism.

In June, Salalah is slightly colder than Khasab - with highs of 37°C and lows of 32°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Nizwa.

Sur is a capital city of Ash Sharqiyah Region, northeastern Oman, on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. Step off the beaten path and head to Turtle Beach and Coastal Trip Tourism. Take a break from Sur with a short trip to Old Castle Museum in Al Kamil Wal Wafi, about 48 minutes away. There's still lots to do: explore the striking landscape at Wadi Shab, steep yourself in history at Sunaysilah Fort, explore the historical opulence of Bilad Sur Castle, and see the interesting displays at Sur Maritime Museum.
