Known for its impressive hillside cascade of colorful stone buildings down to the Mediterranean shore, Amalfi is the cultural and commercial heart of southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Kids will enjoy Fornillo and Bagni d'Arienzo Beach Club, Positano. Explore Amalfi's surroundings by going to Spiaggia Lannio (in Cetara) and Pompeii Archaeological Park (in Pompeii). Dedicate the 12th (Thu) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Villa Rufolo, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Sant'Andrea, enjoy the sand and surf at Lido Capo di Conca, and stroll through Villa Cimbrone Gardens.
