The capital city of Malawi and its largest, Lilongwe serves as an important center of economy and transportation for the area.
Step out of Lilongwe to go to Dedza and see Chongoni Rock-Art Area, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. There's lots more to do: stroll through Lilongwe Wildlife Centre, make a trip to Kumbali Cultural Village, buy something for everyone on your list at Old Town Mall, and pause for some photo ops at World War I Memorial.
