Your inner history buff will appreciate Celje Castle and Radovljica Old Town. Cankarjevo Nabrezje and Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Bled (Mala Osojnica, Straza Bled, & more), Podčetrtek (Spas & Olimje Monastery) and Naravno Kopalisce Lajst (in Spodnja Idrija). And it doesn't end there: pause for some serene contemplation at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, shop like a local with Skrlovec Tower, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Union Experience, and take in the awesome beauty at Velika Planina.
