Bujumbura

— 14 nights
Because of its history, Bujumbura reflects a colonial charm which shows through in its buildings, wide boulevards, and carefree way of life.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bujumbura: Gitega (Gishora Drum Sanctuary & National Museum of Gitega). Spend the 3rd (Fri) in the pleasant surroundings of Rusizi National Park. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Musee Vivant, don't miss a visit to Mausolee du Prince Louis Rwagasore, pause for some photo ops at Livingstone-Stanley Monument, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Regina Mundi Cathedral.
