Founded in the 10th century as a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has morphed into the cultural, political, and economic powerhouse of the country.
Get some historical perspective at Nyhavn and Rosenborg Castle. Get a sense of the local culture at Stroeget and Danish Jewish Museum. Next up on the itinerary: get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Denmark, pause for some photo ops at The Little Mermaid, wander the streets of Gammel Strand, and laugh and play at Tivoli Gardens.

Cartagena, Colombia to Copenhagen is an approximately 14- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Cartagena to Copenhagen. Traveling from Cartagena in June, things will get colder in Copenhagen: highs are around 22°C and lows about 11°C. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take a stroll through Stockholm Old Town, then head off the coast to Langholmen, then take a stroll through Sodermalm, and finally look for gifts at Svenskt Tenn.
