As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.
Go for a jaunt from Minsk to Ptich to see Dudutki Museum Complex about 48 minutes away. Start off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): take in nature's colorful creations at Zimniy Sad, take in the pleasant sights at Sovetskaya Street, see the interesting displays at Brest Railway Museum, then get engrossed in the history at Memorial Complex Brest Hero-Fortress, and finally don't miss a visit to Lights Alley. On the 23rd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Brest Railway Station Building and then identify plant and animal life at Bielaviežskaja pušča National Park.

The capital city of the region of the same name, Grodno (also called Hrodna) was built around the river flowing through it, and is known as a hub for the arts celebrating both modern and classical culture with three major theaters, a philharmonic society, and a multitude of museums.
