Entebbe, Uganda

Nestled on Lake Victoria Peninsula, the laid-back town of Entebbe once served as seat of the colonial government, yet remains widely known as the scene of the 1976 Israeli rescue of hostages kidnapped by Palestinian and German plane hijackers.
On the 19th (Fri), browse the different shops at Victoria Mall, then stop by Kampala Fair (in Entebbe), and then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.

More than 20 million people call Cairo their home and, as soon as you set foot in the sprawling metropolis, it's evident they make it crowded and chaotic, but also exuberant and charming.
Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids and Pyramids of Giza will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with a short trip to Great Sphinx in Giza (about 34 minutes away). Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Mosque of Sultan Al-Ashraf Barsbay.
