Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): admire the striking features of Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) and then explore the historical opulence of Amber Palace. Keep things going the next day: get engrossed in the history at City Palace of Jaipur, look and learn at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, then admire the landmark architecture of Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, and finally explore the historical opulence of Jal Mahal.

Mumbai to Jaipur is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Mumbai in December: high temperatures in Jaipur hover around 30°C and lows are around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) so you can travel to Mount Abu.
