As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.

A sharp contrast to the capital of Minsk, Brest is a city filled with fortress ruins, old culture, and medieval history.
Get out of town with these interesting Brest side-trips: Ruzhany (Lake Papernya & Ruzhany Palace), Monument to the Founder of Kamyanyets (in Kamyanyets) and Bielaviežskaja pušča National Park (in Kamianiuki). There's lots more to do: learn about all things military at Memorial Complex Brest Hero-Fortress, don't miss a visit to Gogolya Street, see the interesting displays at Berestye Archeological Museum, and admire the striking features of Bison on Route Brest - Minsk.
