The capital and largest city of Oman, the coastal city of Muscat boasts numerous historical sites and pristine modern developments.Take a break from Muscat with a short trip to Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve in Seeb, about 44 minutes away. Once the capital of the sultanate, Nizwa stands as one of the longest-established urban areas in the country, and has retained its traditional core.Venture out of the city with trips to Al Hamra (Wadi Nakhr Canyon & Al Hoota Cave). There's lots more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Jebel Akhdar, browse the eclectic array of goods at Nizwa Souk, delve into the distant past at Bahla Fort, and soak in style at Anantara Spa at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort.
