A lovely town easily accessible from almost anywhere in the country, Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples and sits right on the Amalfi Drive.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Fri): admire the masterpieces at Correale di Terranova Museum, then kick back and relax at Fornillo, then stop by Nana' Positano, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Monastero di San Paolo. On the 30th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: don't miss a visit to Piazza Tasso, then stroll through La Solara, then kick back and relax at Villa di Pollio Felice - Bagni della Regina Giovanna, and finally shop like a local with Terrerosse Sorrento.

You can take a train from Rome to Sorrento in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of flight and train. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in June, and nighttime lows around 23°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Sun) so you can travel to Venice.

On the 1st (Sun), browse the eclectic array of goods at Mercati di Rialto, then snap pictures at Ponte di Rialto, and then kick back and relax at Lido Beach. On the next day, admire the landmark architecture of Porta della Carta, take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, appreciate the extensive heritage of St. Mark's Square, then make a trip to Basilica di San Marco, and finally wander the streets of Campo del Ghetto.

Traveling by combination of train and flight from Sorrento to Venice takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. Traveling from Sorrento in July, expect slightly colder with lows of 23°C in Venice. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Tue) to allow time to take a train to Florence.
