Fondation Beyeler operates the museum that owns and exhibits the art collection of the late Ernst and Hildy Beyler. The husband-and-wife couple amassed a large collection of modern classics during their lifetimes. A highlight of the museum is the collection of 23 pieces by Pablo Picasso; the museum also features works by Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Andy Warhol. The Beyelers created the foundation and museum to house their substantial art collection and provide public access to the pieces. The museum's glazed building sits nestled in Berowerpark, where special exhibits periodically take place. • As much as I love the Beyeler, this "exhibition" or better put, experience, was a disappointment. 25,- CHF to walk across a few boardwalks over acid green water through empty rooms was certainly NOT.....  more »
  • The exhibition, or better flooding of the museum with green water ist marvellous and is worth a visit.  more »

  • We had to take two different trams to the Fondation Beyeler, but it seems easier than getting a cab. This place has one of the best Picasso exhibitions I’ve ever seen! It was beautifully presented and audio guides gave a great insight to each artwork. Outside the compound is also just as beautiful. We some guests sitting on the grass and just enjoying the scenery.
  • Cool museum, cool staff, I really like the taste of the exposition but I think about this topic it really depends on what they are exposing. But what I liked from the time I visit was that it felt in motion and alive. They also had a place for you to interact with and collaborate with other people to create art that was very cool.
