A mountain overlooking Lake Geneva, Rochers-de-Naye straddles the range separating the lake from the valley of the Sarine. Even at 2,042 m (6,699 ft) tall, the summit is easily reachable from Montreux. You can board a train to the summit station, which climbs as high as 1,968 m (6,457 ft), and then finish the ascent on foot. Or, start from Col de Jaman and complete the two- or three-hour hike to the peak. At the top, take time to look into a fenced-off marmot habitat to catch a glimpse of the mountain creatures. Between the summit, the walk along the knife edge and access to the alpine garden, this is a spectacular place to visit. The views of the lake as well as being able to almost touch the clouds was worth every penny. Please note that the restaurant isn't very good and prices are quite high.

Incredible views from the top! Take the mountain railway 50mins from Montreux Gare (if you have a GA/AG card it’s free). Restaurant at the top. Worth the trip! 2 hours min. needed to enjoy it fully! Lots of viewpoints.
