Zentrum Paul Klee (Paul Klee Center)
Zentrum Paul Klee (Paul Klee Center), dedicated to the renowned artist Paul Klee, contains a huge portion of his work. The majority of the collection was donated by Livia Klee-Meyer, Klee's daughter-in-law, with a small percentage donated from private collections. Visit the museum to see nearly 40 percent of Klee's pieces--almost 900 different works. The museum opened in 2005 in an architecturally significant building consisting of three waves on a green lawn. Zentrum Paul Klee (Paul Klee Center) is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , custom trip planner Edition.

This is a great museum...if you like Paul Klee. Well, even if you don't, you should just go. The museum and the space itself is beautiful. Klee is a Swiss-born artist and this museum pays homage to his life's work. They also feature other artists in a rotating exhibit. You are allowed to take photographs in the museum which is nice and they have a super awesome children's center with easels and fun activities for the little ones,

It's a fun and scenic ride on the #12 bus from Downtown or the Bear Park to the Paul Klee Museum. I was a fan of Klee's work before we saw the museum and am even moreso now that I've seen his work displayed in this beautiful building. Perched on a hillside overlooking the city and open fields and the Alps beyond, the museum is a soothing, undulating piece of modern architecture, with a clean, warm interior. The works are well-displayed and titled, loosely organized according to the major themes he explored during his life. The gift shop, too, is full of interesting and unique items. Admission is free on some days so you may want to organize your itinerary to take advantage of that.
