At Musee National du Congo (National Museum of Congo), you can learn about the life of French-Italian explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, a rare colonizer who believed in negotiating with natives instead of conquering them. The elegant dome-shaped construction built from white marble displays a small collection of pictures and documents shedding light on the life of this enlightened man and Brazzaville's founder. Don't miss a chance to walk around the landscaped gardens, crowned with a statue of Savorgnan.
