  • Very educational place. Nicely kept. Lots of explanations all around. The place itself and the exposed items are unique.  more »
  • Oldest Polish university with a lot of rich history behind it, and still functions as institute of higher education. Museum has repository of older science instruments.  more »
  • Part of the guided tours in Krakow as it's a large part of Poland's history. If I remember correctly, most of Poland's/Krakow's universities were once institutions of this university. Interesting fact we found out passing a nearby house. If a black flag is adorned from a nearby house it means one of the professor's/senior staff had recently died. You can do a tour on your own as the guided tour will take you to other destinations. Also a prime spot for a photo.
  • If you are in Krakow, try and have a guided tour of the historical rooms and halls of the Jagellonic university. The guided are extremely well prepared and cover a good number of languages. The climax of the tour is obviously the Copernicus room with the astronomical instruments. Once back in the courtyard, seize the chance to take a look at the carillon.
