  • An extraordinary experience, whether you are a devotee or not of the Catholic faith. Hire a bilingual guide right at the entrance. They work solely for tips, and are very knowledgeable.
  • In this church is where you would find the resting place of both St. Rosa of Lima and St. Martin de Porres, both of which are national icons. The tour includes a visit of two cloisters, one of the oldest libraries in the country, the crypt where St. Rosa is layed to rest, St. Martin's burial site, his original room, and a climb up to the steeple tower (which offers an amazing 360 of the city). Be aware that if u are with children they will not be allowed to climb the tower, and only visitors that pay the full adult price will be allowed the climb. The church itself keeps different hours as the museum/convent tour so I would suggest to check the times ahead of your visit. Also, if u suffer from vertigo you may have a difficult time with the climb up the tower.
