Mollebukta, Stavanger

4.4
A bright green lawn, paved walkways below canopies, and a bubbling creek set a serene scene at Mollebukta. The park leads up the sandy shore of a bay, and was first established in the 18th century. The creek that runs into the bay gives the park its name, and has historically served to power a corn mill. Look for the onsite monument that pays tribute to the Battle of Hafrsfjord: three stone swords standing 10 m (33 ft) tall, planted into rocks at the shoreline. Locals and visitors alike flock here for walking, rollerblading, picnicking, and sunbathing. Make Mollebukta a part of your Stavanger vacation plans using our Stavanger trip builder.

  • An actual beach with only a few stones in the water! A large sunbathing lawn with trees for shade and the beautiful 'swords in the stone in view. There is even a kiosk for the physical well-being. For Norwegian conditions a super luxury beach!
