Nelson Provincial Museum reviews
Not much to see. The upper levels were closed when we visited, so maybe there would have been something more interesting there. Not worth the $5 entry fee in my opinion. more »
Great museum featuring interactive and well curated exhibits on local history of the region. Loved the Moon exhibit too- very informative, fascinating and well worth the trip. more »
This is a great smaller museum - We loved it as it is right in the centre of the city, by all the shops and cafes, and so it fits so easily into a day out. Easy access, easy and enjoyable to look around - the local history floor has so many different things that there is something everyone would be interested be, and all laid out and presented well. Easy to call in and then have a coffee after. The visiting exhibitions are often good for kids too but a manageable size for children as well
Very nice museum to see the history of dinosaurs, the staff was very kind and helpful, I highly recommend this place if you are wondering around Nelson. The gift shop has cool stuff aswell. The price in not to expensive and on a rainy day it is always a cool culture oriented activity to do.
