Dunn's River Falls and Park, Ocho Rios

4.4
For a different kind of water experience, visit Dunn's River Falls and Park, where you can climb naturally terraced waterfalls cascading down limestone tiers. One of Jamaica's major natural wonders, the falls drain into the Caribbean Sea and serve as the lush park's main feature. You can climb on your own or with the help of guides; though exhilarating, the ascent is suitable for a range of fitness levels. Don't forget your swimwear and a pair of rubber nonslip shoes, and take plenty of breaks during your climb to capture a few memorable images. If you prefer to stay dry, climb the stairs built right alongside the waterfall. • This place is amazing! The staff is wonderful and they made it fun and adventurous. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Jamaica 🇯🇲. The water is crisp but not cold. And the hike up was easy but I’d say level 2-3. There are rocks and boulders you have to go over. You need shoes to not slip.
  • The falls are beautiful. You can walk down and back up the stairs if you do not want to climb the falls. There are two or three areas you can walk in to enjoy the water, or exit if the climb is too much. It is shaded the entire way. There is a nice beach where the falls empty into the ocean. The only downfall is you have to walk through a ton of vendors to get back to your bus or transportation. They can be aggressive, but if you keep walking and tell them "No thank you," then you can get through unscathed.
