It was awesome. Very strong taste in design. Highly recommended . The entrance ticket was 10€. They need to offer students discount on my opinion more »

Beautiful gardens and magnificent fountains. A great place to take photos. The villa itself is absolutely stunning. However for the €13 entry I expected all the fountains to be working. There were quite a few not functioning. They only take cash and it can be tricky to find an ATM so be prepared. Also parking can be difficult so you have to plan your day early to be able to park nearby.

Villa d’Este cannot be missed! These gardens are built into a hill surrounded by the sweet little town of Tivoli. They are made up of countless stunning fountains and romantic ponds — you won’t be able to resist taking some family photos. Do note that the gardens are not stroller friendly, but it is doable. If I were to do it again, I would have brought our baby carrier. Some people told us that they were because there is an elevator and some ramps, but the elevator only goes down a few levels, and the ramps are more like very small and slopes stairs. Like I said, if you want to bring the stroller it’s doable, but if it’s an easy choice I’d bring a carrier. Also Tivoli is such a sweet town with breathtaking views, I wish I’d known! I might have stayed the night.
