  We visited this free small museum with the guide from official information office. Definitely recommended. Guide explained to us the 3-D model that was on display along with the town history. Its not....  more »

  Honestly, I was rather disappointed, as San Gimignano seems almost completely taken over by tourist business. I know that this reads rather crazy having been there as a tourist myself, but the tourist / locals ratio is really off. Worse only in Bolgheri... I'd rather recommend visiting Volterra.

  This art museum is nice but very small. Not something to go out of your way for, but if you're in town definitely stop in for a few minutes to see the model of the city as it was around the year 1300.
