This is considered such a good wine bar that you can book a table on entry. The place resembles a narrow corridor inside but it is actually quite a large room with wide tables that must be shared with other customers. Coats and hats are dumped in large nets and there are bottles all over the place. The whole is set off by the background music. There is an enormous choice of wines and the staff are very knowledgeable. There is hot food on offer including Pizzoccheri, Baccala, savoury Vegetable Cakes and more. The slices of cheese, salami and pates are all excellent and bring out the taste of the wine.

We visited this lovely bar back in February after seeing all the recommendations and we were not disappointed. Both wine selection and food were outstanding, as was the service. The inside of the... more »

Never have missed this place when in Rome. Famous for their home-made pate, a rich choice of cold cuts like meat and cheese and an enormous wine choice. Just a home made lasagna this time with a sip..... more »

Food was great, but service? Non existent. Plopped us down with menus then disappeared. Took drink and food order, offering no help despite asking. Plopped food down (meat and cheese plate) with zero explanation. It was great meat and cheese but we had no idea what it was. Was Greg wines, but knew nothing about it outside of one was red, the other was sparkling. 🤷♂️ Not at all what we'd thought we were getting.

Great place and recommended by an Italian that now lives back home. Affordable, close to the Pantheon (actually just a few blocks’ walk), and VERY good food! It was very busy, even at 10:30 PM when we showed up there. My only concern was that only one guy was able to assign seating so while a number of tables were ready, we had to just hang around for a bit. It was the same, a bit lagging, when we wanted to pay. I’d chalk it up to them being packed with people. Despite all that, this restaurant is one not to miss. The menu is extensive and the wine list especially more so. Exhaustive with choice. Make it a destination when visiting because It was that good. Oh... and very multilingual here.
