  • A moment of (permanent) respite in the hustle of Rome. This is the beautiful Non-Catholic Cemetery in Testaccio, where Keats and Shelley have their final rest, and the cemetery cats have their own Facebook page. The 300+ year-old cemetery houses Orthodox Christians, Jews, Muslims, Protestant and eastern Orthodox graves, along with Islam, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Even Daisy Miller, the heroine of Henry James's eponymous novella, was buried here, along with Beat poet Gregory Corso.
  • A place of silence beauty and history. Beautiful statues from the era. It's exciting to try to read some of the well-known names to those who belonged. I am moved by that of a cat that seems to me to be close to Gramsci's tomb.
